Can I Get a Side of Rice? … Tastefully Decorated Part 2

After my daughter completed her first interior decorating project on my kitchen floor, it was time to discuss the clean up. She told me she was going to pick up all the food she threw on the floor. While I thought this was unlikely, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. To my surprise, (note the sarcasm), that didn’t happen. (Thankfully, I have two small dogs who were more than willing to help with the clean-up.)

Would you like a side of rice?

Would you like a side of rice?

Fast-forward three days, and I learn that she did indeed make an attempt to clean-up.  I discovered she had tried to do her part when she presented me with a small purple plastic plate of white rice.

Let me warm that up for you!

Let me warm that up for you!

Perplexed – I asked her where she got it from?  She gently took my hand, and walked over to the play kitchen.  She then proceeded to take the plate back from me, open her microwave and put the plate inside.  She had been storing the rice in her play microwave since ‘the incident‘!

Dinner anyone?  You are welcome to join us for 3-day leftovers any time.  No reservations required!
